South Gifford Pinchot Collaborative

The SGPC brings together diverse voices to achieve consensus-based decision making for our public lands.

MARS serves as the fiscal sponsor for the South Gifford Pinchot Collaborative (SGPC), composed of members representing conservation organizations, the timber industry, local government, tribes, recreation groups, and everything in between. The SGPC works with the Mt. Adams Ranger District to advance landscape scale restoration projects on the southern portion of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.

What are Forest Collaboratives?

Forest Collaboratives engage in a voluntary process through which a diverse group of stakeholders, some of which may be in conflict, enter into civil dialogue to collectively consider actions that improve the management of natural resources and benefit both the environment and surrounding communities.
